I was very honoured to accept the 2016 AIM WA WestBusiness Pinnacle Award’s WA Business Leader of the year award on behalf of everyone at Fortescue. The strong community focus of these awards has enabled the donation of the prize money to White Ribbon Australia, and build awareness of an organisation I am very passionate about. I became a White Ribbon ambassador because I am in a position to influence, educate and show leadership on the issue of ending domestic violence in our communities and build greater equality and respect between men and women. Winning the Marketing Excellence Award in 2016 was an extremely proud moment for Brownes Dairy. Accepting this award on behalf of the business and celebrating as a team on the night was a momentous occasion.
Our yoghurt campaign has won a number of awards over the last year. For us, this was the most special and emotional award as being recognised by our peers, and being part of an event which recognises greatness in WA, makes this award most memorable.
Also, being able to give back to the community, is remarkable. The charities we donated to was Starlight and Ngala.
